About Billund Cykelmotion

BICM is a local cycling club with an emphasis on socializing and meeting people who love to bike – so come and join us.

About BICM

Billund Cykelmotion is based on the sport of cycling on MTB and racing bikes, but with the main purpose of creating a cozy approach where everyone can participate.

We want as many people as possible to participate in our training sessions, and at the same time we create opportunities to motivate those who want to participate in exercise races to reach their goals.

If you haven’t run with us before, we offer up to 3 free training sessions with the teams. Once you have joined the club, you will have access to our Facebook groups, where we coordinate training sessions and post about our various events.

During the year, the club participates in a number of running races across the country. It may also happen that we take part in one abroad.

Billund Cykelmotion is a member of DGI.

Don’t forget your helmet

Why we mandate helmets

We believe that wearing a helmet is common sense. We base this on the Danish Accident Prevention Commission’s recommendation and various international studies:

A bicycle helmet protects your head

“Bicycle helmets can reduce head injuries and in some cases mean the difference between life and death.” This is the conclusion of the Danish Accident Investigation Board based on a study of cyclist accidents.

And this is an assessment that is supported by the current international research in the field.

Cyclists are – unfortunately – more often injured.

Compared to other modes of transportation, cyclists are overrepresented in emergency rooms.

Denmark is – fortunately – a safe country for cyclists.

While there are risks associated with cycling, it’s worth mentioning that Denmark – along with Germany and the Netherlands – stands out as a country that has made cycling a safe, convenient and practical way to get around.

So there’s no reason not to get on your bike.

Road bike

We train in different groups so that all can have fun at their individual level.

MTB & Youth

We offer year-round MTB training for all ages, with groups for adults (16+ years old) as well as children (7+ years old).

Races & Trips

We organize local MTB races and tours throughout the year and travel to participate in various races across the country.
