BICM Road

Road Bike

The BICM Road Club trains together from the middle of March until fall break (week 42).

Our members ride for many different reasons, but core to them all is a desire to train together with others and have fun on the bike.

Our routes are varied. Some routes head west and are fairly flat, others head north and offer more uneven terrain, while others head east into the Vejle Ådal where we find hills and steeper climbs.

Our regular training starts from the Billund Idrætscenter. Additionally, we try to hold some social arrangements throughout the season.

Why train Road Cycling in BICM?

In the past few years cycle sport has become more and more popular in Denmark, and in Billund it’s no different.

We have members who have trained together for years and others who have only joined recently.

What we have in common is that we are part of the club to have fun – and we think you should try that together with us.

What equipment do I need?

The Bike

A full-blooded touring bike would be a dream but less of a bike is also quite ok.  We don’t have any requirements on your ride – as long as you are comfortable with it.

The outfit

Bike shorts with a pad for your own sake.

How fast do you ride

When we train in the BICM Road Club we ride four standard tempos.

We have a casual group that everyone regardless of fitness level can ride with.

We have an intermediate group that requires you have ridden a bike before and are in good shape. Lastly, we have two advanced groups that require a high level of fitness and where often the pedal is put to the metal.

BUT! EVERYONE GOES OUT TOGETHER   – EVERYONE COMES HOME TOGETHER
